Ways to Save on Back to the Future at the Pantages

Enter the digital lottery for $39 tickets for Back to the Future at the Pantages by downloading the Broadway in Hollywood app and tapping Tickets at the bottom of the screen. This lottery is closes the day before each show (so if you win the lottery on Tuesday, it will be for Wednesday’s performance). If you win you have 60 minutes to purchase your tickets before they are released back into the pool, so make sure your push notifications are on. Lottery tickets are randomly assigned and you are limited to a max of 2 tickets. If you don’t want to take your chances with the lottery, you can purchase tickets for 25% off for select performances by using code 748055 at Ticketmaster (click “Unlock” to add the code). If you’re a student or teacher, you can purchase rush tickets (if available) 2 hours before the show.

TIP: I always drive up to Yucca to look for parking. There is 2 hour parking on the east side of Argyle and parking meters on the west side of Argyle. If you find free parking, it’s far less disappointing if you don’t get tickets.

Ways to Save on American Idiot at the Mark Taper Forum

TodayTix has slightly discounted tickets (reduced from $92 to $83), but there is also a $20 lottery you can enter and $30 rush tickets you can purchase by downloading the app. You will need to share to social media or click “Unlock without sharing” in order to unlock the rush feature.

As long as we’re talking about Center Theater Group (which runs shows at the Ahmanson and Mark Taper), Sign up for notifications for promos and offers. They often have Ticket Drop Tuesday offers for $20 tickets and discount codes for select shows.

And as long as we’re talking about TodayTix, Check the app for deals. They have good prices for La Cage Aux Folles at Pasadena Playhouse (discounted from $77 to $33). I am waiting on Once Upon A Mattress although I would really like to see it (I love Sutton Foster!) because I suspect a lottery will open. There is a $29 lottery for Cirque Du Soleil Kooza in Santa Monica as well as tickets discounted from $76 to $57. To get you in the holiday spirit, Hot Chocolate Nutcracker at Redondo Beach PAC are half off and if you are interested in LA Phil offerings, check out the discounts for shows at WDCH. I am going to see Arturo Sandoval Swinging Holiday, but I paid full price for those (whatever…they are only discounted from $67 to $61). We saw that show last year in orchestra view seats and although it was fun to watch the percussionist do his thing, it was so good we want to see it again from the audience’s perspective.
